“ You don’t have to brush your teeth – just the ones you want to keep. ~Author Unknown”
On the 30th and the 31st of August 2012, a team of practitioners from K. D. Dental College visited Sandipani Muni School and organized a free dental check up campaign for the girls of the school. During the camp, the dentists did a free check up for the kids and gave them special tips to keep their gums and teeth healthy.
The Camp was organized to prevent gum and toothache problems amongst the children and also to create awareness amongst them about their health and hygiene. The lead of the dental team, Doctor Naveen Anand said, “The camp has been organized by The Department of Public Health Dentistry. These types of free camps are quite relevant in this set up where girls from impoverished backgrounds come to get their education. Through these camps the check up facility can be provided to the children free of cost and it makes them aware of the importance of healthy teeth.” He further added that if the kids brush their teeth twice a day, then any gum problems could be prevented to a great extent.
The school principal, Mr Rajendra Singh said that he is grateful to the team of students from K.D. Dental College who took out time for the children and did a check up for 1400 kids in the school.
