We must not forget

Due to the hard work done throughout all this years, we have been able to shelter many children at SMS. Broadening their opportunities in life and being part of the process.

Our students are able to have an education, learn many different skills and some of them get to go to university.
Yet, every day, once their school hours are over, they have to go back to their homes.

As most of you know, they don’t have many facilities. So, even though we get to see the kids at school, in their uniforms, clean and neat, we can’t forget where they come from and the fact that every day they go back to their families’ situation. Luckily, they have the opportunity to somehow help their families, even if it will come with time.

FFLV holds vocational trainings, where village women get to participate and learn a skill, so they can stand on their own and aid their families. Some of the times, the women that participate are the mothers of some of the students. This means their situation is changing and that is one of our aims. To not only change their lives while they are at school, but to ameliorate their situation at home, their present and future.

Although we have advanced so much at FFLV, we can only keep going and advance more because we can’t settle where we are right now, we can offer more to the children and the community. Therefore, it is not only our will, but our responsability to give and help them as much as possible. So one day, there won’t be any difference when they go home from school.
